Our theme this week was Staycation. Since I am from Cody, Wyoming, a truly western town, I had lots of choices. Cody is the gateway to the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park, the beautiful Sunlight basin, scenic Chief Joseph Highway, Beartooth Highway, and Wapiti Scenic Byway, which Teddy Roosevelt referred to as "the most scenic 50 miles in America". It is home to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West (a complex of five internationally renowned museums), Rendevous Royale, Cody Night Rodeo (yes, we do have rodeo here every evening from Memorial Day til Labor Day!), and so much more. Needless to say, I had lots of themes from which to choose. I probably would have made a Yellowstone kit but since I featured that the first week, I decided to do a rodeo kit to celebrate the Cody Stampede which occurs each year on July 2, 3, and 4th.
You will find an extra element in my kit just in case you have ever been here for the Stampede and would like an event specific element. Enjoy.
